Live at R&R feat. Total Science, 10/9/01 (live mix)
Lance Presson spent most of the 24 years of his life doing two things: living in Wilmington, NC and making music. An accomplished drummer from age 12, Lance's excursions through four-track and tape production led him eventually to drum and bass. After becoming hooked on the sound in the mid-90's, Lance progressed to DJing in 1998. After several years putting in his dues, he helped to found North Carolina's Rinse & Repeat crew in 2000, contributing to a succesful weekly and several large events. Around the same time, he began to delve into drum'n'bass production, and his inherent musical talent began immediately to shine through, ultimately culminating in the signing of two of his collaborations with Charlotte's Focus ("Jabberjaw" and "Objection") to Nemcron Recordings 001 and 002. He also became very well known on DogsOnAcid.com and other internet sites for his unofficial remix of Digital's "Deadline". The future looked bright for Lance, and thus it was a horrible shock to the North Carolina drum'n'bass scene when he was taken from us in a car accident in November of 2001. His memory lives on in his music and the lasting impression he made on his friends with his unique personality and wit. He is, and always will be, truly missed.
